“If anything, the deponent’s outright and repeated refusal to answer proper questions is more troubling than any of the questions posed by Weaver’s counsel. For these reasons, the court finds that Ayres’s instruction for his client not to answer questions about the Gomes case lacks any justification, much less a substantial one,” U.S. District Judge Virginia M. Kendall wrote.
