Spotlight with David Daggett: Pandemic Principles
It is a new year and even during the pandemic, a new year is always rife with opportunity! I don’t know much, but I do know that when life gives you lemons, you must make lemonade!
We are so fortunate that during these crazy times, we have been able to adapt and thrive. I have continued to reflect on, and preach, lessons and principles I have learned over many years of working with elite athletes and coaches. There are always challenges and obstacles, and there are always solutions and positive possibilities for those who persevere. Here are what I have come to call my Pandemic Principles.
The first principle is to create structure in times of chaos. This is the intentionality of controlling circumstances instead of letting them control you. When everything in the world seems completely off kilter, it is tempting to give into the chaos, but you will be much better served by creating structure and order in your life during these confusing times.
