On Saturday, February 17th, attorney David Daggett appeared on Triad Today to share exciting news about the future of the Safe Sober program and a partnership with the William G. White, Jr. YMCA. Richard Daniels, the Y’s Executive Director, and Meredith Lloyd, Assistant Director, joined David to discuss what the new partnership means for the Triad’s youth.

The Daggett Shuler Safe Sober Program has been a staple of high school life in the Triad for over three decades. Now in its 34th year, the mission of the program remains the same – to encourage young people to make the right choice when it comes to decisions about drug and alcohol use. The program encourages positive peer pressure to influence these life-changing choices.

Safe Sober is proud to announce a new partnership with the William G. White, Jr. YMCA to create the Safe Sober Teen Center by Daggett Shuler. The center is a safe space for teens to go after school. It provides them with a place to get homework help, relax, grab a snack, and gain mentorship provided by volunteers, including representatives from Daggett Shuler.
