The topic of conversation was school bus safety and things every motorist should be aware of this time of year. Watch the segment:

Nearly 500,000 school buses transport kids each day in the United States. When parents send their children off to school, they trust that the driver will do everything within their power to keep them safe. However, other drivers also need to take school bus safety seriously. The laws reflect the gravity of the situation – passing a stopped school bus results in a $500 fine and five points on the driver’s license. If the worst happens and someone is hit, it is considered a Class 1 felony and comes with a $1000 fine.
