The FTC began the fiscal year with a staff of 1,315, which has since been reduced by 95 people after deferred resignation, voluntary separation and retirement agreements, the agency’s chair said. Andrew Ferguson added he anticipates the staff will be cut further to its lowest level in a decade— about 1,100 full-time employees.
