“It is very difficult in such a highly politicized matter for courts to have the courage to call out somebody like Mr. Giuliani and to impose sanctions on them,” said Leslie Levin, a University of Connecticut law professor. “And so what that First Department [court] did was courageous, and I think it was right.”
