Novo Nordisk faces a suit claiming it failed to warn users of Ozempic of the danger of blindness. The suit is brought by a Maryland man who developed non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy after taking the drug for diabetes. While the precise cause of that condition is unknown, the general belief in the medical community is that the condition is caused by insufficient blood supply or ischemia to the optic nerve, the suit alleges.
